The Third Place has been serving the community of Los Altos and beyond since 2007.  We began as a small parent education program serving families at Ventana School and Christ Episcopal Church.  After deciding to open our programs to the community, we realized there was a great need for a place for people of all ages to gather, discuss common issues, share stories and grow together.  In 2009 we became The Third Place.  Since our first program in 2007 we have grown into an organization serving thousands of parents and community members all over the Bay Area, from San Jose to Half Moon Bay.

All of our programs are non-denominational and open to the community. We are quite literally “The Third Place” alongside Ventana School and Christ Episcopal Church on the beautiful hillside campus of Christ Church in Los Altos.  Our programs are inspired not only by the Episcopal tradition of life long learning, but also by the Reggio Emilia philosophy which embraces the creative process, authenticity, relationships and environment.  We are a non profit organization, supported by the generous contributions of the participants of our programs and the community of Christ Episcopal Church and Ventana School.
